Tubulointerstitial nephritis with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody following indomethacin treatment.

چکیده
Sir, Tubulointerstitial diseases including tubulointerstitial nephritis (TIN) have an impact on overall renal function and eventual prognosis of renal diseases [1]. However, the detailed pathogenesis of human TIN has not been fully studied. Renal involvement in anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated diseases shows mainly glomerular lesion, especially necrotizing crescentic glomerulonephritis [2]. However, TIN with minor glomerular lesion in ANCA-associated diseases is rare. We herein describe a case showing TIN following indomethacin treatment and developed interstitial pneumonitis and pulmonary haemorrhage associated with high levels of myeloperoxidase (MPO)-ANCA.

Concurrent IgG4-related tubulointerstitial nephritis and IgG4 myeloperoxidase-anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive crescentic glomerulonephritis
RATIONALE IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a newly recognized systemic disease. The typical pathological finding in the kidney is abundant IgG4-positive plasma cell infiltration with characteristic storiform fibrosis in the interstitium. Antibodies of the IgG4 subclass have been linked to certain autoimmune diseases including antiproteinase 3 (PR3) anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) o...

We encountered an unusual and rare case of 59-year-old woman with Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) showing myeloperoxidase anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (MPO-ANCA)-related acute renal insufficiency accompanied by eosinophilic tubulointerstitial nephritis. To date, reports in English of CSS presenting with rapidly progressive/acute renal insufficiency and biopsy-proven renal lesions have been...
متن کاملAcute tubulo-interstitial nephritis with positive anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies.
INTRODUCTION Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated vasculitis involving the kidney usually comprises pauci-immune, necrotizing glomerulonephritis with crescents. Mononuclear tubulo-interstitial infiltrates are common in ANCA associated vasculitis, but these have usually been described in conjunction with glomerulitis. Acute tubulo-interstitial nephritis (ATIN) is a common cause...
متن کاملA case of membranous nephropathy and myeloperoxidase anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated glomerulonephritis
Membranous nephropathy (MN) may be a primary disease or secondary to autoimmune conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, infection (for example, with hepatitis B or C virus), cancer or drugs. In primary MN, crescents are rarely observed. Therefore, the presence of crescents suggests another underlying disease, for example lupus nephritis, anti-glomerular basement membrane disease or ant...
متن کاملOverview of IgG4-Related Tubulointerstitial Nephritis and Its Mimickers.
Tubulointerstitial nephritis (TIN) is the most common form of renal involvement in IgG4-related disease. It is characterized by a dominant infiltrate of IgG4-positive plasma cells in the interstitium and storiform fibrosis. Demonstration of IgG4-positive plasma cells is essential for diagnosis, but the number of IgG4-positive cells and the ratio of IgG4-positive/IgG-positive plasma cells may va...
